About us

Our Mission

We aim to provide training of the highest quality so that real differences can be made to children who face disadvantages in negotiating the neuro-typical world that dominates our lives.

Our knowledge and understanding is founded on the cutting-edge of science, and our workshops and training sessions aim to bridge the gap between theory and practice.  Our strategies are positive, solution-focused and effective, and dedicated to generating real change in the way we address the needs of marginalised learners.

Company Profile

Founded by Bill Colley in January 2006, the courses run by Caledonia Training have already proved to be motivational, inspirational and informative in training sessions delivered over the last 12 months.  Our evaluations average 25% "GOOD", 50% "VERY GOOD" and 25% "EXCELLENT".

Bill's decision to form the company was based on the remarkable transformations he has witnessed at his school in children who had complex needs and were unable to sustain placements in mainstream schools.  As Head Teacher, he oversaw the implementation of support programmes that enabled such children to develop friendships for the first time, to reach their academic potential, and to acquire levels of independence that were once never thought possible.

His approach and his methodology are supported by leading figures from the world of neuro-science, and by the research that continues to emerge from long-term studies of children who have additional support needs.

All our trainers have considerable experience at senior-management level, and have been recognised for their achievements by the regulatory authorities.

Consultancy services look in depth at the difficulties that children and families are facing and suggest realistic and pragmatic strategies for addressing core deficits.  We translate theory into practice and look to long-term solutions rather than short-term gain.  Contact us for a free preliminary consultation.
