Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)

COURSE OUTLINE
What is ASD? Aetiology, prevalence, presentation.  Common Co-morbidities.  Referral, assessment and post-diagnostic support. Social communication and language deficits. Attention Disorders

COURSE OUTLINE

 What are SEBDs?  How has our understanding of SEBD changed over the last 100 years?  Contributory factors.  Risk, resilience and protective factors.  Violence and development.  Causation, association and the impact of residual values on decision-making.  Neuro-developmental adversity and environmental risk.  Attachment/Reactive Attachment Disorder.
